Rosberg: "We openen de aanval op de positie van Ferrari"

Het team van Williams zet de snelheid na een veelbelovende start zonder bijbehorende resultaten de laatste tijd wel om in goede klasseringen. Coureur Nico Rosberg toont zich gelukkig met de vooruitgang van zijn werkgever. De Duitser pakte twaalf punten in de afgelopen vier races en heeft zijn vizier nu op Ferrari gericht.

Rosberg: Het is mooi om te zien dat we in tegenstelling tot de afgelopen jaren nu wel ons mannetje staan in de ontwikkelingsrace. We ontwikkelen ons zelfs beter dan teams als Ferrari. Gezien ons budget is dat fantastisch. Het toont efficiëntie, goed management en nog veel meer aan. We staan nu vijfde bij de constructeurs, nog voor McLaren, en met een paar goede resultaten kunnen we de positie van Ferrari aanvallen.

De huidige gang van zaken stemt me zeer tevreden. Van alle teams, op Red Bull Racing misschien na, boeken wij de meeste vooruitgang. Die wetenschap maakt me blij. Na de start van het seizoen waarin we niet optimaal gebruik maakten van onze snelheid ontstond al de vrees dat we onze kansen niet benut hadden. Maar nu lijkt het er op dat we nog veel meer kansen krijgen.
