Commissaris CVC Capital uit kritiek op Bernie Ecclestone

Bernie Ecclestone acteert nog steeds als directeur van commerciële rechtenhouder CVC Capital, maar de relatie tussen de twee partijen heeft wel een deuk opgelopen door de uitspraken van Ecclestone over Adolf Hitler. Joods lid van de raad van commissarissen van CVC Martin Sorrell is verbolgen over de uitlatingen en vindt dat Ecclestone zich gelukkig mag prijzen dat hij zijn positie voorlopig behoudt.

Sorrell zegt in de Daily Mail: Ik ben ontstemd door de uitlatingen van Ecclestone. Zijn uitspraken zijn walgelijk. Hij verontschuldigde zich nadat hij advies had ingewonnen. Een directeur van elk ander bedrijf zou hierom weggestuurd worden. CVC-manager Donald MacKenzie gaf echter eerder al aan dat een vertrek van Ecclestone niet aan de orde is. Ecclestone blijft in functie.
