Jean Todt hoopt op waardige en integere verkiezingsstrijd

Jean Todt is niet van plan om zich te laten verleiden tot een woordenwisseling met Ari Vatanen. Beide heren stellen zich kandidaat voor de rol van president van de internationale autosportbond FIA. Vatanen zocht de media al op om zijn concurrent te bekokstoven, maar Todt hoopt op een eerlijke en waardige verkiezingsstrijd.

We zijn drie maanden verwijderd van de verkiezing van de nieuwe FIA-voorzitter, begint de Fransman. Deze periode is uitermate geschikt voor de leden om de achterliggende periode te beoordelen en te bepalen welke richting ze opwillen voor de toekomst. Ik hoop dat alle kandidaten met waardigheid hun campagne gaan voeren en niet persoonlijk worden of zich wagen aan valse verklaringen.

Ik ben zeer trots op het vrijwilligerswerk van Michelle Yeoh als ambassadrice voor de verkeersveiligheid. Voor meer details over haar rol verwijs ik iedereen door naar de film Turning Point om zelf te zien hoe ze zich inzet voor een veiliger verkeer. Ik hoop dat iedereen zich in de toekomst bezighoudt met de belangrijke kwesties en de integriteit toont om het democratische proces te respecteren.
