Epsilon Euskadi wil plek van BMW Sauber wel opvullen

Door het aanstaande vertrek van BMW uit de Formule 1 komt er weer een plek vrij op de Formule 1-grid voor 2010. Het Spaanse Epsilon Euskadi werd in eerste instantie gepasseerd bij de keuze voor nieuwe teams, maar de exit van BMW biedt de renstal nieuwe mogelijkheden.

En Epsilon Euskadi wil nog altijd toetreden. Teambaas Joan Villadelprat vertrouwde Autosport toe: We werken nog altijd aan het project, alleen langzamer dan voorheen omdat we geen zekerheid van een plek op de grid hebben. Wat we nu kunnen zeggen is dat de mensen die ons toen wilden helpen, ons nog steeds willen helpen. Mocht de kans om toe te treden zich voordienen, dan pakken we die met beide handen aan. Daar bestaat geen twijfel over.
