Fans verwachten minstens punten van Michael Schumacher

Michael Schumacher gaat op zijn minst punten pakken. Meer dan de tachtig procent van de ruim 3700 stemmers op de poll verwacht dat de zevenvoudig wereldkampioen in de top acht eindigt. Tien procent daarvan denkt zelfs dat de Duitser in Valencia meteen wint, 24 procent acht een podiumplek mogelijk voor de Ferrari-coureur en 52 procent rekent op punten voor Schumacher. 14 procent verwacht niets van de comeback van de 40-jarige rijder.

Deze week gaat de poll over het vertrek van BMW Sauber. Vrij onverwacht maakte autofabrikant BMW bekend na dit jaar uit de Formule 1 te stappen. Eind 2005 werd het team van Peter Sauber overgenomen en een plan uitgestippeld, dat uiterlijk in 2010 de titel op zou moeten leveren. Zover komt het echter niet, meer dan die ene zege in Canada in 2008 zal de oogst waarschijnlijk niet bedragen.
