Enkele details over kostenbesparingen voor 2010 bekend

Teamverbond FOTA en internationale autosportbond FIA reppen al een tijdje over kostenbesparingen voor 2010 en 2011, maar veel details over hoe dat te bewerkstelligen werden nog niet gepubliceerd. Auto Motor und Sport brengt daar nu verandering in.

Het Duitse blad claimt enkele van de geheime afspraken te hebben opgevangen. Zo mogen teams vanaf volgend jaar maximaal 45 teamleden meenemen naar Grands Prix. De uitgaven per renstal worden gelimiteerd op 100 miljoen euro. Daarbij vallen salarissen voor rijders, de teamleiding en uitgaven aan marketing buiten. Op de fabriek mogen in 2010 maximaal 350 werknemers arbeid verrichten, in 2011 ligt dat aantal op 280 werknemers. Meer personeel is toegestaan als teams weinig geld uitgeven aan componenten van externe leveranciers.
