Circuito Urbano de Valencia ondergaat veiligheidsmaatregelen

Officials van de Grand Prix van Europa hebben maatregelen genomen om het Circuito Urbano de Valencia veiliger te maken. Vorig jaar vond de eerste race op het stratencircuit plaats en coureurs en de internationale autosportbond FIA zagen wat punten die voor verbetering vatbaar waren.

Als gevolg heeft de organisatie de uitgang van de pitstraat aangepast. De muur tussen de exit en het circuit is verwijderd. De muren bij bochten 3, 5, 9, 10 en 14 zijn verder van de baan geplaatst. De kerbstones bij bochten 4 en 5 zijn verlengd. Tot slot is er bij bochten 10 en 14 ook kunstgras geplaatst achter de kerbstones.
