Vijah Mallya spreekt steun voor presidentskandidaat Todt uit

Vijah Mallya is de eerste teambaas die zich achter Jean Todt gaat staan als het gaat om de nieuwe president van de internationale autosportbond. De voormalig Ferrari-teambaas krijgt ook steun van Michel Boeri, voorzitter van de automobielclub van Monaco, Carlos Gracia van de Spaanse autosportbond en Mohamed bin Sulayem, president van de automobielvereniging in de Verenigde Arabische Emiraten.

Mallya legt uit waarom hij de voorkeur geeft aan Todt boven Ari Vatanen. Ik ben onder de indruk van het professionalisme en de toewijding van Jean Todt en zijn verkiezingsteam. De weloverwogen aanpak ten opzichte van de verkiezingstandpunten hebben een welkome nieuwe visie voor de FIA en onze sport gecreerd. Ik ben blij om me daarbij aan te sluiten en bij te dragen aan het waarmaken van die visie.

Boeri: De autosportgeschiedenis van Monaco is een van de onderscheidende karakteristieken van het prinsdom. Of het nou om rally rijden gaat of Formule 1, we zijn trots op onze inzet in de sport en onze verbondenheid. Jean Todt deelt die verbondenheid. Wat ons betreft is er niemand meer geschikt of beter uitgerust om de nieuwe FIA-president te worden.
