Renault hoort volgens Briatore niet bij twijfelende autofabrikanten

Honda stapte eind vorig jaar uit de Formule 1, BMW verlaat de sport aan het einde van 2009 en Toyota twijfelt of het doorgaat met de renstal. Ook de naam van Renault valt vaak als het gaat om autofabrikanten die de Formule 1 de rug toe zouden willen keren.

Ten onrechte, zo stelt teambaas Flavio Briatore. Ik begrijp niet waarom Renault altijd met deze vraag geconfronteerd wordt. De afgelopen vijf jaar is Renault blijven racen en anderen niet. We hebben geen enkel probleem. Renault wil lang door in de Formule 1. De nieuwe Concorde Agreement duurt tot en met 2012 en dan kijken we naar 2013, 2014, 2015 en 2016.
