Theissen optimistisch over podiumkansen BMW Sauber

BMW gaat met opgeheven hoofd de Formule 1 verlaten. Na een moeizaam seizoen was daar in België opeens een topresultaat en het vertrouwen is groot dat Robert Kubica of Nick Heidfeld in de resterende races het podium zal halen. Teambaas Mario Theissen: Ik hoop echt dat we het seizoen positief afsluiten met mooie resultaten en hopelijk een podium.

Hij vervolgt: We kwamen op Spa goed uit de verf en dat was te danken aan de verbeteringen aan de auto en een goede wisselwerking met de banden. We haalden echt alles uit de banden, vooral in de kwalificatie. Dat kan veranderen voor Monza, maar in principe zou de auto het ook daar goed moeten doen. In Singapore introduceren we weer een update en dat is een grote. Hopelijk leidt het in de slotfase van de jaargang tot mooie resultaten en wellicht mogen we weer eens naar het podium.
