Michael Schumacher verlengt contract bij Ferrari met drie jaar

Zevenvoudig wereldkampioen Michael Schumacher blijft minstens de komende drie jaar verbonden aan Ferrari. De Duitser nam na zijn actieve carrière een adviseursrol bij de Italiaanse renstal op zich en keerde dit jaar bijna terug achter het stuur.

Schumacher: Ferrari-president Luca di Montezemolo en ik zijn overeengekomen om de samenwerking nog drie jaar voort te zetten. Hier ben ik zeer blij om, want ik voel me lekker in de Ferrari-familie. We hebben vastgelegd dat ik meer input in de afdeling van de straatautos ga stoppen. Ik genoot van de medewerking aan de ontwikkeling van de Ferrari California, de 430 Scuderia en de nieuwe 458 Italia. Ik kijk uit naar meer van dat soort projecten voor de toekomst.
