BMW Sauber vindt nieuwe eigenaar in Qadbak Investments

BMW heeft een overeenkomst met Qadbak Investments gesloten over de overname van het BMW Sauber Formule 1-team. Qadbak is een Zwitsers bedrijf dat de belangen van bepaalde groepen en families uit het Midden-Oosten en Europa behartigd.

BMW verklaart: Een sterke partner is gevonden voor de renstal uit Hinwil. Qadbak zal vertegenwoordigd worden in de persoon van Lionel Fischer. BMW wenst Qadbak en BMW Sauber het beste voor 2010 en de seizoenen daarna.

Het is echter nog helemaal niet zeker dat het BMW Sauber-team volgend jaar aan de Formule 1 meedoet. Het dertiende en voorlopig laatste toegangsbewijs ging eerder vandaag naar Lotus. BMW Sauber staat wel bovenaan de reservelijst en de FIA probeert de grid ook nog uit te breiden naar veertien teams.
