Williams introduceert in Singapore upgrades voor FW31

Williams heeft twee moeilijke Grands Prix achter de rug. De Britse renstal is dan ook blij dat de volgende race op het stratencircuit van Singapore plaats heeft. Niet meer een laag downforce-circuit zoals Spa of Monza, waar Williams niet goed uit de verf kwam. In Singapore verwacht het team beterschap, mede dankzij een upgrade voor de FW31.

Hoofdengineer Rod Nelson: Gelukkig gaan we nu naar Singapore. Niet alleen omdat het een circuit is waar we weer veel neerwaartse druk nodig hebben en dat ligt ons wel, maar ook omdat we enkele significante aerodynamische upgrades meenemen. We zijn vol vertrouwen dat we in Singapore weer in goede vorm zullen verkeren. We verwachten een auto en hopelijk beide autos in Q3 en ik zie niet in waarom dat de rest van dit jaar nog gaat veranderen.
