Renault-directeur Carlos Ghosn neemt op dit moment geen beslissingen over de toekomst van de Franse autofabrikant in de Formule 1. Hij wacht rustig of tot Bernard Rey, teampresident, hem volledig op de hoogte brengt van hoe de vork in de steel zat.

Pas daarna zal hij de tijd nemen om tot een besluit te komen. In LEquipe verklaart Ghosn: Het enige dat ik gevraagd heb is om niet in het heetst van de strijd een beslissing te nemen. Ik heb volledig vertrouwen in dat Bernard Rey mij alle feiten zal presenteren en pas daarna zullen we met een duidelijke reactie komen.
