FOTA-inschrijving US F1 en Campos Meta Team geaccepteerd

US F1 en Campos Meta Team hebben bevestigd dat ze zijn toegelaten tot de Formula One Teams Association (FOTA). Alle nieuwe teams ontvingen een uitnodiging van het teamverbond. Manor Grand Prix zou zich ook al bij de FOTA gevoegd hebben en de verwachting is dat Lotus F1 Team dat voorbeeld binnenkort volgt.

Van US F1 en Campos Meta Team is het lidmaatschap door de betreffende teamleidingen bevestigd. Peter Windsor, sportief directeur bij US F1, vertrouwde GP Weekly toe dat zijn renstal nu een FOTA-lid is. We hebben ons bij de FOTA aangesloten. Over de geruchten dat de Amerikaanse renstal niet op tijd klaar zou zijn voor het nieuwe seizoen zei hij: Alles loopt volgens schema. Sommige mensen vragen zich misschien af wat we aan het doen zijn, maar in november, december kunnen jullie langskomen om een geweldige Formule 1-afdeling die met honderd procent toewijding aan mooie autos werkt te zien.

Spaans persbureau EFE bericht ondertussen dat Adrian Campos van Campos Meta Team komend weekend in Singapore al als afgevaardigde van zijn team deelneemt aan een FOTA-vergadering.
