Giancarlo Fisichella: "Ik mis vertrouwen bij het aanremmen"

Giancarlo Fisichella had zich zijn eerste races voor droomteam Ferrari heel anders voorgesteld. Op Monza moest de Italiaan nog wennen en beloofde hij beterschap voor Singapore. Maar op het stratencircuit kwam de drievoudig Grand Prix-winnaar er totaal niet aan te pas.

Dit tot grote teleurstelling van Fisichella zelf. Jammer genoeg ging het in Singapore niet beter. De baan is hobbelig, de muren staan dichtbij en ik mis vertrouwen bij het aanremmen. Bij elk rempunt denk ik dat ik niet meer in een Force India zit, maar in een Ferrari. Daarin moet je anders remmen en later terugschakelen. Het veld staat zo dicht op elkaar en de autos lijken qua uiterlijk op elkaar, maar voelen compleet anders aan. Het zou ideaal zijn als ik een testdag zou hebben om aan mijn vertrouwen in de auto te werken, aldus de Italiaan in Auto Motor und Sport.
