Mosley: "Ecclestone stemde tegen schorsing voor Briatore"

Bernie Ecclestone stemde niet in met een levenslange schorsing voor de autosport voor Flavio Briatore voor diens aandeel in crash-gate. Dat onthulde Max Mosley, president van de internationale autosportbond FIA, in de Evening Standard.

Ecclestone had eerder al laten weten dat hij de straf voor Briatore te zwaar en onnodig vond, wat niet goed viel bij commerciële rechtenhouder CVC Capital. Mosley zegt nu: Het besluit van de World Motor Sport Council was niet unaniem. Een grote meerderheid was voor het bestraffen van Briatore, Bernie behoorde echter tot de minderheid die tegen was.
