FIA-racedirecteur Whiting naar Abu Dhabi voor laatste inspectie

Charlie Whiting, wedstrijddirecteur van de internationale autosportbond FIA, komt vandaag in Abu Dhabi aan voor een laatste inspectie van het Yas Marina Circuit. Die baan is over minder dan vier weken, op 1 november, voor het eerst gastheer van een Grand Prix.

De constructiemaatschappij droeg het circuit niet lang geleden over aan de raceorganisatie. Whiting reisde meteen na Japan naar Abu Dhabi. Circuitdirecteur Richard Cregan in Gulf News: De eerste inspecties zijn al achter de rug. Op 5 oktober komt Charlie langs om alle aandachtspunten te bekijken en hopelijk af te vinken.
