Loeb: "Geen link tussen GP2-test en eventueel Formule 1-debuut"

Sebastien Loeb testte deze week op het circuit van Jerez voor DPR met een GP2-auto. De meervoudig rallykampioen kwam niet verder dan de langzaamste tijd. De Fransman ontkent dat de test ter voorbereiding op een Formule 1-debuut in Abu Dhabi geldt.

Loeb zou in beeld zijn bij Scuderia Toro Rosso voor die race. Na de GP2-test vertelde hij aan Autosport: Er is geen link met de Grand Prix van Abu Dhabi. Deze kans om een GP2-auto aan de tand te voelen heb ik te danken aan een engineer waarmee ik vorig jaar samenwerkte in de Franse Porsche Cup en die nu bij DPR in dienst is. Ik doe dit alleen omdat ik de kans kreeg. Ik zou graag een Formule 1-race rijden, maar op dat vlak is niets veranderd. De situatie is nog steeds hetzelfde.
