Bernie Ecclestone ziet het somber in voor Donington Park

Donington Park heeft de deadline van Bernie Ecclestone om te bewijzen dat de financiën in orde zijn om volgend jaar de Britse Grand Prix te organiseren niet gehaald. De commerciële baas van de Formule 1 ziet het dan ook somber in voor het Engelse circuit.

In The Times zegt Ecclestone: Het gaat niet goed. Zelfs als ze het geld nog bij elkaar krijgen, ik kan me niet voorstellen dat alles op tijd gereed is. Het is teleurstellend omdat we dachten dat ze het wel voor elkaar zouden krijgen, maar ze kunnen niet deadlines blijven missen. Het is mogelijk dat ze nog bij ons komen met de boodschap dat ze het geld hebben, maar de verbouwing van het circuit komt nooit op tijd af. Het ziet ernaar uit dat we nieuwe plannen moeten maken.
