Sjanghai verlengt contract alleen bij betere voorwaarden

Bernie Ecclestone zal opnieuw een compromis moeten sluiten als hij een van de huidige circuits op de kalender wil houden. Het contract van Sjanghai loopt na de Grand Prix van volgend jaar af en de organisatie ziet verlenging alleen zitten tegen betere voorwaarden.

Leon Sun, manager bij de organisatie, vertelde aan Reuters: We zoeken naar een andere strategie om te zien hoe we de kosten kunnen dekken en of we ooit break-even kunnen draaien. Elke vorm van onderhandeling is gebaseerd op minder betalen en meer krijgen. We weten niet hoe het afloopt, maar we gaan proberen om dit evenement voort te zetten.
