US F1 houdt voor 2011 plek vrij voor NASCAR-ster Kyle Busch

De nieuwe Amerikaanse Formule 1-renstal US F1 heeft NASCAR-coureur Kyle Busch op het oog voor een stoeltje bij het team. Niet voor het debuutseizoen 2010, maar voor 2011 ligt het contract voor de Amerikaan bij wijze van spreken al klaar.

Sportief directeur Peter Windsor liet USA Today weten: Als Kyle in 2011 voor ons wil racen, dan zouden wij dat heel mooi vinden. Daar zal nog veel over gespeculeerd worden. Als ik hem was zou ik tegen mezelf zeggen dat US F1 het eerst nog maar moet laten zien. Ook goed. Wij gaan het goed doen. Ik ben vrij zeker dat zijn hartslag de hoogte in schiet als hij onze werkplaats ziet.

Ik heb hem veel in actie gezien en heb enorm veel respect voor hem. Ik denk dat hij het wereldkampioenschap Formule 1 kan winnen. Hij heeft het talent en de juiste aanpak. Ik zou hem graag in een Formule 1-bolide zien. Als hij volgend jaar in onze auto wil stappen om demonstraties in Amerika te verzorgen, dan heten we hem van harte welkom.

Busch zelf staat niet onwelwillend tegenover een overstap naar de Formule 1. Het is absoluut niet een idee dat ik meteen afschiet. Als ik binnen enkele jaren de NASCAR-titel voor me op kan eisen, dan zou ik het niet erg vinden om een paar jaar Formule 1 te doen en daarna terug te komen. Ik ben nog jong genoeg om dat voor elkaar te krijgen.

Nou,ff reality check....in de f1 kun je niet met 1 handje aan het stuur en een bakkie chips op schoot alleen maar links afrijden hoor....dan sta je in de muur!Wanneer kom je de pits in?mwaaa we kijken wel......

  Sorry, moest ik ff zeggen........het lijkt zo makkelijk maar die dingen zijn loodzwaar nauwelijks op de baan te houden en lopen al gauw 300 km/u. Die lui kunnen best sturen hoor.
