Fisichella heeft geen spijt van zijn overstap naar Ferrari

Giancarlo Fisichella betreurt zijn beslissing om na de Belgische Grand Prix van Force India naar Ferrari te verhuizen niet. Op Spa-Francorchamps was hij nog als tweede over de finish gekomen, maar bij zijn droomteam uit Maranello kon hij tot nu toe geen potten breken. Na Luca Badoer is Fisichella de tweede invaller die zich op de Ferrari F60 stuk bijt.

Maar toch staat de drievoudig Grand Prix-winnaar nog volledig achter zijn besluit. Dit was een mogelijkheid om mijn droom om voor Ferrari te racen waar te maken terwijl ik er al lang geen rekening meer mee hield. Ik ben blij dat ik het gedaan heb en ik zou de klok niet terugdraaien, ook al ging het de afgelopen races zeer moeizaam. Het is niet makkelijk om tijdens een seizoen in een andere auto te stappen en dat werd verder bemoeilijkt door KERS en het remgedrag van de F60. Recentelijk kon ik het tempo van Kimi Raikkonen in de race benaderen, dus hopelijk gaat de kwalificatie dit weekend goed. Dat is de eerste belangrijke stap richting punten.
