Williams wil status van topteam heroveren in 2010

Het team van Williams denkt weer een stijgende lijn te pakken te hebben. Het voormalig topteam scoorde dit jaar 34,5 punten, allen te danken aan de vertrekkende Nico Rosberg. Volgend jaar wil de Britse renstal een volgende stap zetten met Rubens Barrichello en Nico Hülkenberg als nieuwe rijders en Cosworth als nieuwe motorleverancier.

Technisch directeur Sam Michael: Onze doelstelling is om alles in het team naar een hoger plan te trekken. De FW31 vormt een solide basis om alle aspecten, van rijders tot motoren, chassis en prestaties, naar een hoger niveau te tillen. In de fabriek is iedereen er klaar voor. Volgend jaar willen we de stap naar een hoger niveau maken. We moeten ons opnieuw als een van de topteams gaan profileren en 2010 is daar onze beste kans voor.
