Nakajima bespeurt toch positieve punten in rampseizoen

Kazuki Nakajima was dit jaar de enige rijder die alle zeventien Grands Prix afwerkte zonder een punt te scoren. En dat terwijl hij in dezelfde auto als Nico Rosberg reed en Rosberg pakte 34,5 punten. Williams schoof de Japanner al aan de kant, maar zelf ziet hij toch nog wat positieve punten in zijn rampseizoen.

Nakajima: Qua resultaten was het een zeer teleurstellend jaar, maar ik houd toch ook behoorlijk wat positieve aspecten over aan 2009. Ik ben volgens mij flink verbeterd en presteerde constanter in de kwalificaties en races. Aan de ene kant dus een goed seizoen, alleen de resultaten vielen zwaar tegen. Vooral in het middelste gedeelte van het seizoen kregen we veel kansen op punten, maar het mocht niet zo zijn.

Nakajima heeft nog geen werkgever voor 2010, maar hij is optimistisch. Ik heb nog wel wat mogelijkheden voor volgend jaar. Gesprekken zijn gaande en ik weet zeker dat ik niet met lege handen achter blijf. Het is nu alleen wel zaak om de juiste keuze te maken.
