Renault test met Bertrand Baguette op circuit van Jerez

Bertrand Baguette kruipt begin december achter het stuur bij Renault voor de young drivers-test op het circuit van Jerez. De Belg verdiende zijn test door de titel in de World Series by Renault te winnen. Het wordt zijn eerste keer in een Formule 1-auto.

Baguette: Het zal een geweldige eerste keer zijn. Al mijn kinderwensen komen uit en tegelijkertijd is dit het doel van elke racecoureur. Dankzij Renault kon ik racen met eenzitters doordat ik een programma opgezet om jong talent in België te vinden won. Sindsdien heb ik in elke eenzitter van Renault gereden, van Formule Renault 1.6 tot de Formule Renault 3.5. De Renault F1 R29 completeert de set wat mij betreft.

De eerste ronden moeten een ongelofelijk gevoel opleveren. De auto is lichter en vele malen krachtiger en de bochtensnelheid is fenomenaal. Ik heb nog veel te leren. Niet alleen de wagen, maar ook de omgeving en de vele nieuwe parameters. Het enige waar ik al mee bekend ben is het circuit van Jerez.
