Pat Symonds getuige in hoger beroep Briatore tegen schorsing

Flavio Briatore vecht zijn levenslange schorsing uit de autosport aan en eist bovendien een schadevergoeding van 1 miljoen euro van de internationale autosportbond FIA. Hij krijgt daarbij hulp van zijn voormalig compagnon bij Renault, Pat Symonds.

Engineer Symonds werd voor vijf jaar geschorst voor zijn aandeel in crash-gate. Hij zal nu getuigen in het hoger beroep van Briatore tegen diens straf, dat op 24 november dient. The Guardian meldt dat Symonds zal verklaren dat de FIA de verhoren op een ongepaste manier uitvoerde.
