Brendon Hartley wil Toro Rosso-stoeltje verdienen bij test

Brendon Hartley zal volgende week bij de young drivers-test op Jerez proberen om de teamleiding van Scuderia Toro Rosso te overtuigen om hem een racestoeltje voor 2010 te geven. De Italiaanse renstal heeft Sebastien Buemi al bevestigd en Jaime Alguersuari claimt zelf in het bezit te zijn van een contract voor volgend seizoen.

Zijn plek is echter nog niet officieel zeker en daar liggen kansen voor Hartley. Zijn broer Nelson Hartley deelde aan de Manawatu Standard mede: Alles hangt af van hoe de test gaat. Hij heeft een zwaar seizoen achter de rug en niet de resultaten behaald om hem direct een stoeltje te geven. Er is mogelijk een plek bij Scuderia Toro Rosso en of dat stoeltje naar Brendon gaat weet niemand.
