Peter Sauber is nog altijd in afwachting of zijn team op de grid van 2010 plaats mag nemen, maar hij kan in de tussentijd niet stil zitten. De Zwitser speurt al actief naar de juiste coureurs en noemt in de krant Blick een lijst met zeven namen.

Daarop staan Jarno Trulli, Heikki Kovalainen, Kamui Kobayashi, Nick Heidfeld en Christian Klien. Sauber: En dan hebben we ook nog Pedro de la Rosa op het oog. Zijn testervaring zou ons goed van pas komen. Vitaly Petrov is ook iemand over wie we nadenken. Met zijn komst zou de Russische markt in 2011 voor ons open gaan en dat is een overweging waard.
