Toyota geeft startbewijs terug aan FIA, weg vrij voor Sauber

Sauber kan waarschijnlijk opgelucht adem halen, Toyota heeft besloten om het startbewijs niet door te verkopen. Stefan GP had die hoop wel, maar de Japanse autofabrikant geeft de plek terug aan de internationale autosportbond FIA.

Dat bericht brengt Motorsport-Total.com. Toyota trekt zich terug en aangezien Sauber is aangewezen als eerste reserve is het aannemelijk dat Peter Sauber en zijn mannen toch een plek op de grid in zullen nemen. Toyota biedt ondertussen een pakket met het ontwerp van de TF110 en coureur Kamui Kobayashi aan geïnteresseerde teams aan.
