Buemi hoopt zich in 2010 in de kijker van topteam te rijden

Sebastien Buemi kan terugkijken op een behoorlijk debuutseizoen in de Formule 1. Al in zijn eerste race voor Scuderia Toro Rosso scoorde hij twee punten en na een moeizaam middenstuk sloot hij de jaargang ook positief af met twee puntenfinishes.

Zijn plek bij Toro Rosso voor volgend jaar is veilig, het doel is om opnieuw punten te scoren. De Zwitser hoopt belangstelling van grotere teams te wekken. Natuurlijk zou het gaaf zijn om in 2010 een Grand Prix te winnen, maar je moet wel realistisch blijven. Ik zit bij een van de kleinste teams. Ik probeer punten te pakken en wil me tonen, en hopelijk geeft een groter team me dan de kans en de auto om wel zeges te boeken. Geluk is ook een factor, je dient op het juiste moment op de juiste plek te zijn, aldus Buemi in Le Matin.
