Overname Renault afgerond, team racet gewoon in 2010

De toekomst van het Formule 1-team van Renault is veilig gesteld. De leiding van de Franse autofabrikant is akkoord met de verkoop van 75 procent van de aandelen, bericht Auto Hebdo. Aan welke partij die aandelen verkocht worden is nog onduidelijk. Een officiële bevestiging zou volgende week volgen.

Ook de BBC vernam van bronnen dat de overname in kannen en kruiken is. De overgebleven 25 procent van de aandelen blijft in handen van Renault en het team behoudt ook dezelfde naam. De werknemers van het Formule 1-team worden vandaag ingelicht. Prodrive en Genii Capital doken in de geruchten het vaakst op als het gaat om een overname van Renault.
