Renault onhult morgen nieuwe eigenaar voor Formule 1-team

Renault-directeur Carlos Ghosn heeft een keuze uit de overnamekandidaten voor het Formule 1-team gemaakt en zal morgen de nieuwe eigenaar van de renstal bekend maken. De krant Le Parisien bericht dat het tussen Gerard Lopez met Genii Capital en David Richards met Prodrive gaat.

De overname wordt vandaag afgerond en een bevestiging volgt binnen de komende 24 uur. Renault houdt een minderheidsaandeel en het team houdt minstens nog twee jaar dezelfde naam. Robert Kubica zal een van de coureurs zijn. Renault gaat door als motorleverancier bij de nieuwe eigenaar en zal hoogstwaarschijnlijk ook Red Bull Racing van krachbronnen voorzien.
