Sponsor Petronas toont zich trouw aan Sauber-team

De Maleisische oliemaatschappij Petronas zal ook volgend jaar het team van Peter Sauber steunen. Het concern is al jaren verbonden aan de Zwitserse renstal, ook toen BMW de boel overnam. Turun Sanomat meldt dat die samenwerking stand houdt.

Met de komst van het flink door Maleisië gesponsorde Lotus F1 Racing doken verhalen op dat Petronas Sauber zou verlaten, maar zover lijkt het niet te komen. Turun Sanomat geeft tevens aan dat Sauber wellicht de eerste test in februari in Valencia mist door de late toekenning van het startbewijs voor 2010.
