Mercedes GP kan geen sponsors van McLaren benaderen

Mercedes keert volgend jaar na meer dan vijftig jaar met een echt fabriekstem terug op de Formule 1-startopstelling. De Duitse autofabrikant werkte de afgelopen jaren nauw samen met McLaren, maar met ingang van 2010 zijn de twee naast partners ook concurrenten.

De geruchten gingen dat Mercedes sponsors als Mobil 1 en Boss mee zou nemen, maar daar is geen sprake van. Een woordvoerder van Mercedes GP in de Duitse krant Express: We kunnen geen sponsors weghalen bij McLaren.
