Heidfeld: "Ik focus me op beste optie voor de lange termijn"

Nick Heidfeld zit nog altijd zonder werkgever voor het komende seizoen. De Duitser hoopte bij Mercedes GP een kans te krijgen, maar de Duitse renstal verkoos Michael Schumacher boven hem. Heidfeld geeft zich echter nog niet gewonnen.

Hij wil in 2010 op de grid staan. De comeback van Michael Schumacher is geweldig voor de Formule 1 en ik wens hem en Mercedes GP het beste. Maar voor mij pakt het wel nadelig uit, aangezien het weer een plek minder voor volgend jaar betekent.

We moeten vooruit kijken en ik focus me op de beste optie voor de lange termijn wat betreft mijn toekomst in de Formule 1. Ik blijf hard trainen, met de juiste mensen praten en grijp alle kansen met beide handen aan. Ik hoop in de komende weken iets concreets over mijn plannen bekend te maken, besluit Heidfeld.
