Ecclestone betwijfelt dat alle nieuwe teams Bahrein halen

Bernie Ecclestone durft zijn hand er niet voor in het vuur te steken dat de vier nieuwe teams voor 2010 allemaal de start van het seizoen halen. De eerste race is op 14 maart in Bahrein en US F1, Lotus F1 Racing, Virgin Racing en Campos Meta 1 zullen alle zeilen bij moeten zetten om daar op de grid te staan.

Althans, dat denkt Ecclestone. Ik geloof dat ze problemen gaan hebben om op tijd klaar te zijn voor de eerste race, het is afwachten. Als je ze spreekt zegt iedereen dat er niets aan de hand is, maar ik weet zeker dat ze het moeilijk hebben. De financiën vormen het grootste obstakel. Ook al worden de budgetten meer realistisch, het is nog steeds een helse klus om het bedrag te vergaren. Misschien heb je het al gehoord, maar de wereld verkeert in een economische crisis. De sponsors liggen niet meer voor het oprapen. De Formule 1 is veilig zolang we tien solide teams hebben.
