Vettel maakt zich niet druk om mislopen eerste wintertest

Van de nieuwe teams is het misschien te verwachten dat ze de eerste voorbereidingstest niet halen, verrassender is dat ook Red Bull Racing besloten heeft om de eerste week van februari niet te testen in Valencia. De Oostenrijkse renstal verkiest extra tijd in de windtunnel boven ervaring opdoen op de baan.

Coureur Sebastian Vettel vindt het jammer, maar hij maakt zich geen zorgen. Natuurlijk is het teleurstellend, maar we houden nog twaalf dagen over om met de nieuwe auto te testen en dat is genoeg. Het is beter om tijd door te brengen in de windtunnel om de auto te perfectioneren, dus ik kan me wel vinden in dit besluit.

Over zijn doelen: Ik wil zo snel mogelijk het kampioenschap voor me opeisen, daarom ben ik hier. Ik doe mijn best en geef tot het einde alles. Het is moeilijk voorspellingen te doen voordat ook maar een meter getest is, na de race in Bahrein weten we meer. Ik wil de beste zijn. 2009 was een geweldig seizoen en ik werk hard om dit jaar nog beter te presteren.
