Michael Schumacher verheugt zich op testseizoen

Michael Schumacher heeft na zijn GP2-test nog meer zin om weer met de Formule 1 te beginnen gekregen. De Duitser reed vorige week drie dagen op het circuit van Jerez. In februari begint het testseizoen voor de Formule 1 en de zevenvoudig wereldkampioen kan niet meer wachten.

De Mercedes GP-rijder verklaarde: De GP2-test was super. De eerste twee dagen speelde het slechte weer ons nog parten, maar op de laatste dag konden we veel doen en zelfs een race simuleren op slicks. Het ging beter dan ik verwacht had. Ik voelde me meteen op mijn gemak in de auto, alsof ik nooit weg ben geweest.

Mijn nekproblemen zijn voorbij, ik ben extreem fit en fris. Daarom voelde ik me ook zo lekker in de auto op Jerez. Maar de Formule 1 is een ander verhaal, de G-krachten zijn heviger en het is niet met elkaar te vergelijken. Daarom verheug ik me enorm op de tests in februari. Alleen dan kan het oude gevoel echt terug komen, ik kan niet wachten.
