Ecclestone en Genii Capital nemen automerk Saab niet over

De gezamenlijke kandidatuur van Bernie Ecclestone en Genii Capital om automerk Saab over te nemen bestaat niet meer. Ze hebben zich teruggetrokken, waardoor alleen het Nederlandse sportautomerk Spyker met General Motors in gesprek is over een overname.

Genii Capital stelt in een verklaring: Genii Capital is van mening dat de timing van de volgende fase in het sluitingsproces van Saab niet past bij de vereisten die nodig zijn voor een solide bedrijfsplatform voor de toekomst en om de transactie af te ronden.
