Williams bevestigt komst Nasr als test- en reserverijder

De kogel is door de kerk, Felipe Nasr is dit jaar derde coureur bij het team van Williams. Dat zat er al een tijdje aan te komen, maar nu is het dan ook officieel. Nasr mag meteen de vierde en laatste dag van de tweede test in 2014 voor zijn rekening nemen.

De Braziliaan helpt Williams aan een sponsor in de vorm vn Banco do Brasil. In ruil daarvoor zal Nasr ingezet worden tijdens een aantal vrijdagtrainingen bij Grands Prix. "Ik ben heel blij om onderdeel uit te gaan maken van de Williams-familie. Ze hebben een rijke historie in de Formule 1 en een paar van de beste Braziliaanse coureurs hebben voor dit team gereden. Het is een eer om in de voetsporen van Ayrton Senna, Nelson Piquet en Felipe Massa te treden. Dit is een geweldige mogelijkheid voor mij en ik kan niet wachten om in Bahrein achter het stuur van de FW36 te kruipen."
