Todt voelt weinig voor lange periode als FIA-voorzitter

Zoals het er nu voor staat krijgt de internationale autosportbond FIA in 2013 weer een nieuwe voorzitter. De vorig jaar verkozen nieuwe president Jean Todt voelt weinig voor een lange regeerperiode. Zijn voorganger Max Mosley bekleedde zestien jaar de functie van FIA-voorzitter.

Todt zal hem dat niet na doen. In Gazzetta dello Sport zegt de Fransman: Ik blijf maar één termijn. Het is gek dat Max hier zestien jaar heeft gezeten. Ik heb andere dingen te doen en het leven is kort. De stress is niet minder dan voorheen bij Peugeot en Ferrari. Het enige verschil is dat ik daar betaald kreeg om te werken. Wat ik nu doe is voor mijn passie, ik wil een bijdrage leveren aan de sport waar ik van hou.
