Horner over Raikkonen: "Volgend jaar is nog ver weg"

Red Bull Racing-teambaas Christian Horner sluit niet uit dat hij voor volgend jaar een poging zal ondernemen om Kimi Raikkonen terug naar de Formule 1 te halen. De Fin rijdt dit jaar met hulp van de energiedrankenfabrikant in het WRC, het wereldkampioenschap rally.

Horner: Raikkonen bij Red Bull Racing, het is een interessant idee. Onvermijdelijk is dat men er nu over schrijft en speculeert, maar ik kan jullie zeggen dat Kimi zich momenteel volledig op het rally rijden focust. Er zijn geen discussies over de Formule 1 geweest.

Wij richten ons op onze huidige coureurs. Het hart van Kimi ligt momenteel bij rally rijden. Dat wilde hij graag en het wordt een interessant jaar voor hem. Wij zijn tevreden met onze line-up. Volgend jaar is nog heel ver weg, maar wij concentreren ons op onze huidige rijders.
