McLaren stelt Formule 1-debuut Vandoorne nog even uit

Stoffel Vandoorne maakt deze week toch niet zijn debuut in een Formule 1-bolide. De jonge Belg die zaterdag sensationeel zijn eerste race in de GP2 meteen won was door McLaren opgeroepen voor de test in Bahrein, maar de Britse renstal heeft de plannen op het laatste moment gewijzigd.

Kevin Magnussen bestuurt vandaag en morgen de MP4-29. Geen Vandoorne dus, wel twee Nederlanders in actie. Robin Frijns neemt de eerste dag voor zijn rekening namens Caterham en bij Sauber overhandigt Sergey Sirotkin na vandaag de C33 aan Giedo van der Garde.

Ferrari doet twee dagen een beroep op Fernando Alonso en Daniel Ricciardo komt beide dagen in actie voor Red Bull Racing. Williams gunt Felipe Nasr morgen weer een kans, nadat Valtteri Bottas vandaag de test opent. Force India en Mercedes reserveren voor beide racecoureurs één dag.
