Michiel Mol duikt op bij Formule E-team Super Aguri

Michiel Mol gaat zijn rol als aandeelhouder bij Force India combineren met de functie van bestuurslid bij het Formule E-team van oud-coureur Aguri Suzuki, Super Aguri. De 44-jarige Nederlander is tevens de oprichter van Space Expedition Corporation, een bedrijf dat zich specialiseert in ruimtereizen voor particulieren. Mol heeft het er maar druk mee.

"Drie jaar geleden ben ik samen met de mensen van XCOR Aerospace begonnen met Space Expedition Corporation, omdat ik het gevoel had dat daarin twee essentiële elementen bij elkaar komen, namelijk opwinding en betekenis. Commerciële ruimtevaart is het volgende hoofdstuk in de luchtvaart en dat is ook exact de reden dat ik geen moment heb geaarzeld toen Aguri mij benaderde."

"Samen met de andere Formule E-teams ontwikkelen we een nieuwe generatie van elektrische voertuigen en dat op de circuits. Tegelijkertijd bieden we autosport-liefhebbers van over de hele wereld een indrukwekkende en onvergetelijke ervaring. Ik verheug me om met Super Aguri de globe over te reizen en de Formule E in grote steden tentoon te spreiden", aldus Mol.
