Technisch directeur Bob Bell vertrekt bij Mercedes

De wegen van Mercedes en Bob Bell gaan scheiden. Bell, vanaf april 2011 als technisch directeur werkzaam bij de Duitse renstal, diende in december al zijn ontslag in en na dit seizoen gaan beide partijen uit elkaar. Hij is toe aan een nieuwe uitdaging.

Bell stond eerder onder contract bij onder meer Benetton, Jordan en Renault. De positie van technisch directeur komt te vervallen bij Mercedes. Het team zal de werkzaamheden intern verdelen waarbij directeur Paddy Lowe het merendeel van de taken op zich zal nemen.
