Sutil wil Sauber in Monaco van hatelijke nul af helpen

Adrian Sutil is vastberaden om komend weekend in Monaco zijn eerste punten namens Sauber te scoren. De Zwitserse renstal beleeft tot nu toe een moeizaam seizoen en weet alleen Marussia en Caterham achter zich te houden. De C33 was bij aanvang van het jaar veel te zwaar en een nieuw lichtgewicht chassis bracht in Spanje niet de gewenste doorbraak.

Sutil: "Voor ons is het belangrijkste dat het pakket goed functioneert en dat we een goede performance neer kunnen zetten. Mijn doel is om na het weekend huiswaarts te keren met wat punten op zak. Ik bewaar goede herinneringen aan Monaco. Ik heb hier bijna elk jaar punten gepakt en vorig seizoen was zeer opwindend met een vijfde positie. Dit is altijd een speciale Grand Prix en ik kijk er naar uit."

Engineer Giampaolo Dall'Ara voegt toe: "We hebben vertrouwen dat we bij de test in Barcelona weer een stap vooruit hebben gezet. We introduceren wat updates voor ons aerodynamisch pakket en onze wielophanging. Voor Monaco ligt de nadruk op mechanische grip en een stabiele achterkant. De kracht van de motor is hier minder relevant, maar Monaco is zowel voor coureurs als engineers een enorme uitdaging."
