Renault streeft in Barcelona naar stap voorwaarts met upgrades

Het team van Renault introduceert deze week enkele aerodynamische updates in de hoop het gat naar de topteams te verkleinen. Robert Kubica eindigde vorige week in Jerez dan wel als tweede, maar de Franse renstal heeft niet de illusie dat het die plek daadwerkelijk bezet.

Kubica over de komende testweek: Ik kan wel zeggen dat we wat upgrades voor de auto hebben. Ik weet niet hoe groot de stap is die we daarmee maken. We hopen uiteraard dichter bij de topteams te komen, maar we weten niet hoeveel zij zich zullen verbeteren. Het is dus gokken. We doen ons best en in Bahrein zien we dan wel of dat genoeg is. Eigenlijk is het nooit genoeg en we blijven pushen voor deze test, die cruciaal is voor de eerste races. Hopelijk zijn we daarna klaar voor Bahrein.
