Dakar: Stephane Peterhansel vertrekt bij X-Raid Mini

Stephane Peterhansel en X-Raid Mini zijn uit elkaar. De Fransman had nog een doorlopend contract tot en met de Dakar van 2015, maar dat is na onderling overleg ontbonden. Peterhansel won in 2012 en 2013 de Dakar namens X-Raid Mini, maar hij is nu toe aan een nieuwe uitdaging.

"Na vijf succesvolle jaren samen en twee Dakar-zeges ben ik toe aan iets anders", begint Peterhansel. "Ik ben teammanager Sven Quandt en alle medewerkers van X-Raid dankbaar voor al die mooie jaren en de successen die we met elkaar in de Mini hebben beleefd."

Quandt voegt toe: "Stephane is een fantastische coureur en een geweldig persoon. We hebben veel hoofdstukken in de geschiedenisboeken geschreven met hem. Hij was een sleutelfiguur in onze groei. We wensen hem het beste toe voor de toekomst."
