Shakedown Campos Meta 1 mogelijk op circuit van Imola

Het doek voor US F1 is voor 2010 inmiddels gevallen, het andere twijfelgeval Campos Meta 1 doet er alles aan om de seizoensopening in Bahrein wel te halen. De Spaanse krant El Mundo bericht dat morgen een persconferentie met het nodige nieuws op het programma staat.

Karun Chandhok zal daar bevestigd worden als tweede coureur naast Bruno Senna. Jose Maria Lopez en Pastor Maldonado zijn gegadigden voor de positie van reserverijder. Een naamswijziging van Campos Meta 1 naar Hispania Racing lijkt ook in de maak.

Adrian Campos krijgt mogelijk alsnog een plek in de renstal. De oprichter en naamgever van Campos Grand Prix zou de rol van vice-president gaan bekleden. Het team hoopt voordat het afreist naar Bahrein nog een shakedown met de auto uit te voeren. Als locatie heeft Campos Meta 1 daar het circuit van Imola voor in gedachten. De fabriek van chassisbouwer Dallara ligt daar namelijk niet heel ver van vandaan.
